About Peggy King

While art, whether it be drawing or painting or creating in clay, was my first love all through my younger years, after high school I went into a secretarial course at college. The following year I left school altogether, married and started my family. As a stay-at-home-Mom I found my creative outlet in crafts of all descriptions, and in cake decorating and the 'confectionery arts' which I also taught for more than 25 years from my home. Many of my greatest friends today were introduced to me as they sat at my dining room table decades ago in those classes. About 2008, I set aside the icing bags and picked up the paint brushes again! At the same time I began taking pictures with the intent of using them as reference for future...
Marsha Elliott
Very nice abstract....like Ken & Sandra, I can see both a waterfall & cityscape.
Peggy King replied:
Thank you, Marsha... oddly enough, I saw the same things in it (along with a face or two) once it was finished and once I took the photo I was convinced I could not decide which way it would/could/should hang - hence, it is not signed. ;-)
Peggy King replied:
Perhaps I should post it again in a landscape format.....
Sandra Strohschein
Peggy, Ken thought this reminded him of a waterfall, when I first glanced at it I thought of a city with skyscrapers with the sun burssting through at a late morning angle.
Sandra Strohschein
Peggy, I love the value contrasts and the composition in the piece. Very very nice work....I could see this painting on wrapped canvas gracing walls in many different venues....
Peggy King replied:
Thank you so much, Sandra... your comments are very much appreciated.
Patricia Allingham Carlson
Peggy, this dream of a painting sure caught my eye! It is wonderful. I thank you for the nice comment on my Appalachian Trail watercolor painting. Pat
Peggy King replied:
So glad you like my painting, Patricia.. thank you for your gracious comment.
Carol Cavalaris
Much better than sleeping. Wonderful abstract.
Peggy King replied:
Much appreciated, Carol! Much better, at least, than being awake and doing nothing! LOl

Thanks Ken. That is very much what I had in mind.... a waking dream with cascading thoughts and if you look very closely you may be able to pick out some faces. ;-)

Very nice! It reminds me of a waterfall!
