From the Morningstar Mill at the top of DeCew Falls, St. Catharines, Ontario, a 30 minute walk along the rim and a descent into the gorge will be rewarded by scenes such as this one as you hike back along the bank, and even in the creek, toward to the lower and upper falls. Part of the Bruce Trail which runs along the Niagara escarpment.
About Peggy King
While art, whether it be drawing or painting or creating in clay, was my first love all through my younger years, after high school I went into a secretarial course at college. The following year I left school altogether, married and started my family. As a stay-at-home-Mom I found my creative outlet in crafts of all descriptions, and in cake decorating and the 'confectionery arts' which I also taught for more than 25 years from my home. Many of my greatest friends today were introduced to me as they sat at my dining room table decades ago in those classes. About 2008, I set aside the icing bags and picked up the paint brushes again! At the same time I began taking pictures with the intent of using them as reference for future...

Yes, it was a wonderful hike, Ann. It's a very deep, steep gorge with no stairs, etc.... just tree roots and rocks (and my backside) to make the climb easier. I walked in the creek for part of the way back so by the time I was to the top again, 3 hours from the start, I was wet from the knees down and dirt from backside to toe hold - it was joyous!!
